The University Station Alliance (U:SA) wants to share the breaking news about our newest partner and sponsor: Contributor Development Partnership (CDP).

“This is an important partnership for CDP as we continue to work in our ongoing support of university licensees’ success,” said CDP’s President and CEO Michal Heiplik. “We acknowledge that university-licensed public media organizations face unique challenges. Partnering with U:SA will allow us to more easily share the insights and best practices designed and demonstrated to bring more net revenue into their budgets.”

Founded in 2011, CDP works with Public Media Organizations (PMOs) to grow their active donor files and increase their net fundraising revenue through the development of best practices, scaled vendor management, innovative fundraising, operational services and best-of-breed technology systems. Stations can then reallocate freed up internal resources to better serve their local communities.

CDP offers many services to PMOs, including:

  • Public media’s largest repository of giving data used for top-line data tracking fundraising performance
  • Testing and refining fundraising strategies to develop best practices that help raise more net income and grow their contributor files faster
  • Partnerships with innovative vendors tailored specifically to the needs of public media
  • CDP’s Member Services Bureau (MSB), a cooperative fundraising and operational solution that maximizes economies of scale and uses proven strategies to drive station net revenues.

“Data-driven decision making leads to more effective strategies and actions,” said U:SA’s Executive Director Peter Dominowski. “We couldn’t be more excited about our partnership with CDP; together we will continue to explore strategies that sustain and improve public service to listeners and viewers.”
